Another unfortunate addition to Capital Center, designed by Archetype Architects, Inc. (Boston), this “luxury” apartment building (the designation luxury is highly questionable these days, if this is this an example) resembles more the textbook examples of subsidized housing of the 1950s than luxury housing. A not very compelling marriage of high-end hucksterism and Pruitt-Igoe (if a good bit lower), this is already a prime candidate for renewal itself, were it not – alas, unfortunately – so financially successful among wealthy local retirees and rich foreign students.
