This French Modern Gothic house was abandoned and much neglected when the Providence Preservation Society Revolving Fund (PPSRF), incorporated in the fall of 1980, took it on as its first renovation project. PPSRF focused its efforts in this neighborhood because of the high quality of its architecture and the presence of a strong neighborhood group, WBNA. Now known as the Providence Revolving Fund, the organization not only undertakes a number of projects in the area but also serves as a catalyst for other individuals and organizations: for every project by PRF, there are at least two or three others carried out individually.
