Blackstone Mutual Fire Insurance Company occupied this building until a merger in 1968 combined Blackstone Mutual Fire Insurance Company, Manufacturers’ Mutual Fire Insurance Company, and Firemen’s Mutual Insurance Company into a company called MFB Mutual Insurance Company. MFB occupied the building into the 1970s until it was taken over by United Way of SENE.
