Architects Stone, Carpenter & Wilson provided two separate clients with highly complimentary office buildings (144 & 146 Westminster Street) constructed at the same time on adjacent lots as real-estate-investment ventures. The lush use of terra-cotta trim against buff Roman brick recalls the contemporary Renaissance Revival work of Mckim, Mead, & White for both offices and clubhouses in New York.
