An otherwise nondescript commercial building, long underutilized after the castration of this western section of Downtown by the construction of Interstate 95, this building underwent a conversion to loft-apartment space by The Armory Revival Company in 2001-2003. Michael Viveiros, partner in Durkee, Brown, Viveiros & Werenfels, was the architect in charge of the renovations. Providence began to enjoy a surge in demand for mid- and upper-range apartments in the early 2000s, and this building proved to be an appropriate location for such development.
