Vacant, deteriorated, and heavily fired-damaged, this place was one of the key early buildings in the revitalization of Elmwood that began in the 1970s. Built for the jewelry-manufacturing-company owner who moved here from a house on Pine Street, which was closer to Downtown, it provides a fine introduction to the scale and style of suburban houses that filled Elmwood in the last years of the nineteenth century.
